The DuxxBak™ water shedding system directs water toward the edge of the deck, in the direction of the designed slope. This keeps the living area or storage area beneath the decking surface completely dry. Best of all, this engineered capability is built into DuxxBak composite decking so a water tight installation doesn’t require the installation of a secondary underdeck or internal drainage system made up of troughs and gutters. Installing the DuxxBak waterproof decking system expands the living area without the problems of moisture buildup common to other underdeck drainage systems.
DuxxBak has dimensionally realistic wood grain yet contains no wood. Made of a Biodac®, rice hulls, polyethylene resins, and other high quality ingredients it has very minimal water absorption compared to wood-composite and PVC decking products. DuxxBak wood-free composite decking is engineered to be watertight. The unique interlocking design keeps water from leaking through the deck. Instead, Water travels through the Duxxbak™ channels and exits at the end of the deck.
Install DuxxBak waterproof decking on a 2nd level deck and the space underneath becomes usable as extended outdoor living space or storage. When the rain moves in promising to soak outdoor activities, those activities can move under deck and continue. Outdoor furniture, vehicles, and other equipment can safely be stored under the deck no matter the weather.
Applications for a waterproof decking system include covered patios, sundecks, roof top decks, boathouse sundecks and when you want to protect the substructure or what lies below. A water shedding deck provides usable space in any kind of weather.
