We have gone to contract for the finish carpentry portion of the project and are hopefully working out the final details of the 5th level exterior deck scope today. I appreciate the clarity you have provided thus far, I wish everyone could be so detailed!
We worked with HDG Building Materials on one of the most complicated jobs we’ve done in our 40-year history. For the Horton Plaza Improvement project in San Diego we used a variety of shapes and sizes of dimensional stone in various finishes, vertical and horizontal installation methods, and including stairs on a radius. From initially receiving stone samples to visiting a quarry on-site in China, HDG provided great service and inspired confidence.
We are delighted with our new patio garden which features beautiful limestone pavers from China. Erik Nelson guided this project throughout—he helped us select the stone utilizing two finishes and textures which highlight the distinctive colors within the stone. Erik also helped developed a thoughtful plan for the layout of the pavers which optimally capitalizes on the sightlines of the garden and greenbelt areas surrounding the patio. We would recommend Erik to anyone for his knowledge, skill, and attention to detail, service and professionalism.
Erik is more than a rep for HDG Building Materials; he’s a landscape architect with design sensibility. In addition to buying products, I’m handing him designs for the homes in which we’re using those products. Erik knows the capabilities of his products.
