Project Overview
The Fort George Brewery and Public House features a grating panels catwalk that serves as a pedestrian bridge to a rooftop deck. The rooftop deck gives visitors expansive views of Astoria and the Columbia River and in the distance, Washington State. Once on the rooftop deck, patrons are met with picnic tables and a menu of beers and food. There is even a doggie water bowl for the canine members of the family. Beneath the picnic tables lies a decking surface made of stone-finish porcelain pavers. These virtually maintenance-free pavers are supported by Buzon slope-correcting and height adjustable pedestals.

Outdoor Porcelain Pavers
Outdoor porcelain pavers are thicker compared to their indoor cousins, 20mm or more versus 10mm. They are also more durable than wood and have superior strength and impact resistance over ceramic tiles. The Pietra collection offers exceptionally realistic stone replicating marbles, travertines, limestone and other natural stone. Porcelain pavers may be sand-set, mortar-set, or pedestal-set. Use SH 3cm pavers when you need assurance against impact breakage or need to bear heavy loads in public spaces.
Buzon Screwjack Pedestals
Porcelain pavers installed over Buzon pedestals retain slope-to-drain design while maintaining a level surface for people, pets, and furniture. Unlike mortar-set porcelain, pedestal-set pavers are easily removed to provide maintenance access. The cavity created below the decking surface also hides unsightly electrical conduit, plumbing, and other services.
